Item Name: Farmer Jed's Big Red Barn
Item Number: BOY 40145172 SET/6
Collection: Boyds Bears Resin
Size: 3.5" Tall
Made of: Resin Farmer Jed's Big Red Barn is part of the new for 2009 Boydsville Village Collection and was introduced in April 2009, is soon to be retired and is a limited edition of 3,600. This is a 1e (First Edition). If ya ask Farmer Jed, he'll tell ya that early to bed, early to rise, may make a man healthy wealthy and wise...but mostly it just plain makes him tired! Such is the life for a farmer in the Village of Boydsville. While city folks, dressed in their fanciest duds, head out to their high falootin' offices every morning, Farmer Jed and his son, Little Jed Junior, make their way to their office...their Big Red Barn. No shufflin' papers or tendin' to matters of high finance here. No Siree...instead Farmer Jed spends his days cleanin' out the horse stalls on the first floor while Junior tends to the chickens in the loft.
Welcome to the miniature world of Boydsville! A world where wee lil’ Boyds Bears® live, work and play. Where every morning, you can hear the church bells echo through the valley and the streets come alive with the laughter and delight of children making their way to school. Where just a short ways out of town, farmers tend to their fields and the aroma of freshly baked apple pie fills the fresh country air.
Overtime we’ll meet more members of the Boydsville Community….the merchants along main street in town, Boydsville wealthiest folks livin’ high in the hills in mansions that have stood for generations, and folks with simpler needs, finding comfort and shelter in their cozy lil’ homes nestled in the Boydsville countryside.
Each multi-level Boydsville structure has a removable roof and floors and includes at least two wee-little townsfolk depicting everyday life in Boydsville. Each sculpted inhabitant measures less than ¾” tall and is hand-painted with precise detail and craftsmanship. The townsfolk can be removed from their Boydsville abode or kept inside…depending on the weather outside of course!
